Steve Slaton is a professional football player who serves as a running back to the National Football League's team, Houston Texans. During his early years, he attended Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania and West Virginia where he began his football career and earned All-American status, was a Heisman Trophy finalist, and set various school and conference records. He was drafted by the Texans in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft and now playing as the number 20 football player of the team. This blue, red and white jersey of the Houston Texans is their uniform during their games at their home arena.  

Ryans began his NFL career in 2006 with the Houston Texans. Though he had been an outside linebacker in college, he earned the starting middle linebacker position due to his excellent performance in the preseason. In his first game he recorded a league-high 12 solo tackles. Ryans had an overwhelming impact as a rookie linebacker for the Texans, leading the team in tackles in the first half of the 2006 season. Many Texans fans have called him “D-Wreck” for his toughness and hard hits; another popular nickname is D-ROY, intended to promote Ryans for the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
