Detroit Red Wings
Based in Detroit, Michigan, a professional ice hockey team and member of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League are the Detroit Red Wings. The team was founded in 1926 and used Detroit Cougars as their first team name then became Detroit Falcons in1930 and renamed to Detroit Red Wing in 1932. After spending over 40 years playing their home games in Olympia Stadium, they have finally moved to their new home arena, the Joe Louis Arena. Aside from Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs, the Red Wings is also one of the leading ice hockey teams of NHL for having 18 division championship titles, 6 conference championship titles and 11 Stanley cups.
