The New York Rangers were founded in 1926 and became one of the professional ice hockey teams and members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League. Madison Square Garden is the team's home arena since they were founded. The Rangers currently hold five division championship titles and one conference championship title in 1993-1994 NHL season. They were the first NHL franchise in the United States to win the Stanley Cup in 1927-1928 season and another three wins in 1932–1933, 1939–1940 and 1993–1994.
